Description:

White Horse Inn in Metamora, Michigan began in 1848 as a general store and was soon transformed into an inn and stagecoach stop that served travelers before later welcoming railroad passengers after the Michigan Central line arrived. It went on to operate as a beloved local restaurant for decades and was recognized as the oldest continuously operating eatery in the state before closing in 2012 and reopening after a major restoration in 2014. Today it is known for hearty comfort food and guest favorites such as Cowboy Mac and Cheese, Chicken Pot Pie, Parmesan Brussels Sprouts, steaks, ribs, and the White Horse Reuben.
