Description:
Established in 1905 on the shores of Pokegama Lake, the Pokegama Sanatorium was a 35-acre facility for 36 patients, supported by a farm supplying essential produce. After closing in 1943, it was sold to the Redemptorist Fathers for use as a school for priests. Later renamed "Pine Manor," it became a chemical dependency treatment center until financial difficulties led to its closure in April 1986. If you don't mind a few ghosts as roommates, as of 2024, the property is listed for sale at $120,000.
