Description:

The hike to Eagle Mountain via the Eagle Mountain Trailhead is one of Minnesota’s most rewarding outdoor adventures, leading to the highest point in the state at 2,301 feet above sea level. The 7-mile round-trip trail winds through the rugged wilderness of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area, passing rocky terrain, boardwalk-covered wetlands, and scenic forest landscapes before reaching the summit. At the top, a bronze survey marker marks Minnesota’s high point, offering hikers the satisfaction of standing on the roof of the North Star State.
