This "Scientific and Natural Area" is a favorite spot for bird-and-wildlife watching, hiking, photography, and winter snowshoeing. Characterized by slippery smooth, flat, monochrome pink pebbles and rocks that come from a nearby rhyolite cliff, the beach is the result of a volcanic event that occurred roughly a billion years ago. To preserve its beauty no swimming or taking rocks is allowed. It is easily accessed via a trail from the parking lot.
