Mary Tyler Moore Statue

One of the first shows to highlight a strong female lead, the "Mary Tyler Moore Show" was set in Minneapolis. The city is very proud of its place in TV history. To pay homage to the show a statue of the title character was placed in the exact spot where she triumphantly threw her hat up in the air. It stands in a central location next to plenty of shops and restaurants.
