Description:

The Dr. Paul E. Zollman Zoo accommodates more than 30 species of wildlife indigenous to Minnesota. A significant number of the animals in the zoo have sustained physical injuries that prevent their release into the wild, while others are surplus zoo inhabitants from different facilities. Occasionally, animals are acquired from licensed animal facilities using designated donation funds. The zoo is named in honor of Dr. Paul Zollman, DVM, as a tribute to his commitment to Olmsted County Parks and his unwavering belief in providing compassionate care to animals and fostering environmental education.
