Paul Bunyan Historical Museum

The fact that Paul Bunyan isn't a real person didn't prevent a museum from being named after him. Even Paul's mythical best friend, Babe the Blue Ox, is on display here. There are great photo opps here, too! Take a selfie with Babe or with a giant statue of Paul. The Museum opened in 1984 and contains an interesting collection of pictures and artifacts portraying the early Akeley history when the largest sawmill in the state was located here and the population was between 3,000 and 4,000.
