Description:
Located at the intersection of Outer Drive and Adams Blvd., a mere two blocks from Highway 61 in Silver Bay, MN, stands a whimsical statue. Comprising two black spheres representing its head and body, adorned with red-gloved arms and red-booted legs, this cartoonish figure is none other than Rocky Taconite. Serving as a distinctive tribute to the taconite industry that shaped the town, Rocky has been charming visitors with his endearing presence since the 1960s.
