Description:

Along a St. Louis Park bike trail, an artist known as "Phone Banksy" has created a whimsical time capsule by hanging 94 phones, ranging from the 1920s to modern cellphones, on a noise barrier along Hwy. 100 near Minnetonka Boulevard. The installation features rotary phones, Trimline phones, and novelty phones like shoe and duck phones, in various colors such as red, yellow, blue, and beige. What began as a modest project a few years ago has grown in size and popularity, even earning official recognition as public art from the City Council last year.
