Big John State Line

This giant grocery clerk used to be a fixture at Big John grocery stores but is now a greeter at the state line - either waving goodbye as you enter Tennessee or saying hello as you cross into Mississippi. He's been restored and repainted, looking his best as the first face or last face you will see - depending on the direction you're traveling. (Photo by Eileen Cannon-Hailey)
