Description:
Historic Klondyke Trading Post in Vicksburg began in the 1800s as a local trading post and over the years operated as everything from a saloon to a gas station before becoming a beloved community restaurant in the mid twentieth century. The current building dates to the 1930s and has earned a strong reputation for generous portions and classic Southern cooking. Popular dishes include the famous Vicksburger made with a half pound patty between two grilled cheese sandwiches, along with favorites like fried catfish, fried green tomatoes, country fried steak, meatloaf, and chicken and dumplings.
