Jackson's Old Capitol Museum

This building served as Mississippi's capitol from 1839 to 1903. It is built from limestone, stucco, wood, and brick, while the rotunda is made from copper. Although the old capitol building is elegant and majestic, it was very small - and thus a new one was needed to serve the state's needs.
