Description:
This museum is dedicated to ceramics artist George Ohr who called himself the "Mad Potter of Biloxi." The angular building, designed by Frank Gehry, was damaged severely by Hurricane Katrina and re-emerged only for the museum to face financial difficulties. Finally, an agreement with Biloxi put the museum back in good standing. This museum not only displays art but teaches people how to make art through interactive pottery classes.
