Description:
Al’s Restaurant opened in 1925 in a former 19th century sugar warehouse on the St. Louis riverfront, created by Italian immigrants Albert and Louise Barroni. It began as a simple saloon serving sandwiches to rail and dock workers before evolving into one of the city’s most celebrated fine dining spots after mid century renovations transformed the space. Known for tableside service and a rolling cart that displays steaks and seafood, Al’s offers signature dishes such as filet mignon, Beef Romano, lobster tail, and house made pasta. The restaurant continues to blend historic charm with classic American steakhouse favorites.
