Description:
A pristine river, rippling and bubbling through the scenic Ozarks, is the setting for this mill built in the 1890s. It seemed to be the perfect place for a flour mill with a never-ending supply of power from 81 million gallons of flowing water per day. However, unpredictable weather and heavy floods keep the mill from prospering. The mill, even when closed, provides a beautiful trail hike that starts at the parking lot and circles the grounds. The park is open every day except Wednesday from 9 to 5.
