Description:
This 12,000-square-foot mansion was built as a summer home for John Bothwell in 1896. One of its more unique features is its position on top of two natural caves. Building here was no accident; John Bothwell attempted to use the frigid cave temperatures as a natural source of air conditioning for his palatial home. The grounds are open to the public year round with hiking and biking trails made available to visitors.
