Named after Negro League baseball legend John Jordan "Buck" O'Neil this park is the perfect place to improve your batting average. Buck O'Neil joined the Kansas City Monarchs in 1938 and afterwards became the first African American Major League coach. Even though he was born in Florida he would spend most of his life in Missouri. In 2006 he died in Kansas City at the age of 94.
