Artist Bob Cassilly was a visionary. He looked at this former cement factory and construction dumping site and saw a wonderland theme park. So he set out to make his vision reality but tragically died when the tractor he was operating rolled over. Thus, the visionary died at the birthplace of his quest. Even though Cementland is far from finished and perhaps may always be in a state of limbo, it is no longer a dumping site either. It is now a sort of attraction - for urban explorers, graffiti artists, and skateboarders.
