Avalanche Lake

Avalanche Lake is a stunning alpine lake located in the heart of Glacier National Park in West Glacier, MT. The lake is surrounded by towering mountains, lush forests, and cascading waterfalls, making it a popular destination for hikers, nature enthusiasts, and photographers. The trailhead is located near the Going-to-the-Sun Road and is roughly 4.5 miles round trip. The trail is considered moderate in difficulty with a gradual ascent through old-growth forest before reaching the lake.
