Description:
Bowman Lake is known for its crystal-clear waters surrounded by dense forests of spruce, fir, and lodgepole pine. The lake is fed by Bowman Creek which flows from high alpine meadows and snowfields in the surrounding peaks. The creek feeds into the North Fork of the Flathead River which is designated as a Wild and Scenic River and a popular destination for fly fishing and rafting. The lake is accessible via a 6-mile gravel road that winds through the forests and meadows of the North Fork Valley. The road is narrow and bumpy, but offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. Visitors can hike, fish, canoe, or simply relax on the beach and take in the beauty of the lake and its surroundings.
