By surface are, Flathead Lake is the largest such body of water west of the Mississippi River in the 48 states. This ancient lake was formed from glacial activity along with Lake Missoula. During the summer, you can join in activities such as paddle boarding, canoeing, and fishing for trout. Also here is a spectacular cherry tree grove in a full array of colors during the year.
