The Apgar Visitor Center is located in West Glacier, MT and serves as the main visitor center for the western entrance to Glacier National Park. The center provides visitors with information on the park's history, geology, flora, and fauna. It's named after Dr. Virginia Apgar who was a pioneer in the field of neonatology and a native of West Glacier. The building itself is a rustic log structure with a large central hall that houses exhibits on the park's natural and cultural history as well as a bookstore and gift shop. The center also features a theater that shows educational films about the park's ecosystem and wildlife.
