Description:
The Goat Lick Overlook provides a stunning panoramic view of the surrounding landscape, including the Middle Fork of the Flathead River and the towering peaks of the Rocky Mountains. The name "Goat Lick" comes from the fact that mountain goats are often seen licking the mineral-rich cliffs nearby. Visitors can access the Goat Lick Overlook via a short, easy hike from a parking area off Highway 2. The hike is only about a quarter-mile long and leads to a platform overlooking the river and the goat lick cliffs.
