Description:

The Virginia Falls are an impressive sight with water cascading down a series of rocky steps before crashing into a pool at the bottom. The total drop of the falls is approximately 50 feet and the width is about 100 feet. The water is a beautiful turquoise color, owing to the glacial sediments in the St. Mary River. To reach Virginia Falls visitors must take a 3.6-mile round trip hiking trail that starts at the Sunrift Gorge parking area. The trail is rated as moderate in difficulty and offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains and forests.
