World Museum of Mining

This museum is located on a site which used to be a zinc and silver mine. One of the highlights of the old mine is the Orphan Girl tour where you can see the original structures and machines including the cages used to cram in several miners at a time for descent into the depths. For those who like pretty stuff there are a dollhouse exhibit and a gem dig. The open-air museum is set up like an old mining town with a street lined with recreated buildings such as a bank, saloon, and sauerkraut factory.
