Description:

The main attraction of this park is its distinctive bristlecone pine trees. Some of the oldest living things on this planet, their age may be in the thousands. With twisted roots and branches on which a scant few pines grow they look like they may be dying but they are very much alive. The oldest living organism was found here - a bristlecone pine named Prometheus which was 4,862 years old when it was cut down.
