Description:
In 2014, the Nugget Casino decided to remove Last Chance Joe, a statue that didn't fit their remodeling plans. Councilwoman Julia Ratti sought to relocate the statue to the C Street parking garage, but the City Council couldn't take on the project. The Sparks Museum Board of Trustees suggested placing Joe in front of the museum instead. After raising funds for restoration, Last Chance Joe was moved to the museum in December 2014.
