Retro McDonald’s

In an ode to an era when McDonald's architecture was crafted by Stanley Clark Meston, a nostalgic recreation of this design has emerged near SLS Las Vegas, embodying the iconic soaring roof angles, space-age aesthetics, and golden arch supports. This retro establishment boasts a meticulously maintained garden, a vintage '55 Chevy coupe parked at its entrance, and the original McDonald's mascot, Speedee, whose hamburger-shaped head and chef's hat symbolized the innovative "Speedee Service System" emphasizing fast, affordable food prepared at high volume. Although Speedee was phased out in 1967 in favor of Ronald McDonald, his legacy lives on in this homage to McDonald's pioneering days. (Submitted by Shirley Beauchemin Thurston)
