The Las Vegas Nevada Neon sign resembling a cowboy that had been erected on the exterior of The Pioneer Club in 1951 has an unofficial name - Vegas Vic. The sign marked a departure from the typeface based neon sign to a welcoming, friendly cowboy form mimicking the human like abilities of talking and waving its arm! In Laughlin, Nevada, Vegas Vic has a twin on another large sign that is referred to as River Rick. Pioneer Hotel owns both visages in Las Vegas and in Nevada.
