These ovens were used in the 1870s to turn pinyon and pine into charcoal. The six beehive-shaped ovens are located in the Egan Mountain Range, and thus provide plenty of other activities such as hiking and camping.

A view from the inside. About a 10 mile drive off the main highway but certainly worth the detour.
