USS Albacore Museum

Definitely a fish out of water, the USS Albacore is a research sub living out her retirement half submerged in the ground. Located in Albacore Park, visitors can get a detailed look at how she worked, played, and slept. You can tour at your own pace - signs guide you around the vessel. Built in the 1950s, this sub was an integral part of America's effort to stay ahead during the Cold War.
