Description:
This 140-foot waterfall is located in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Edward Tuckerman discovered it in 1875, naming it after the water nymph in Greek mythology. Cascading over a series of short, steep tiers, it's believed to be the tallest single-drop falls in New England, accessible by trail. The 1-mile trail (2 miles roundtrip) starts at Crawford Notch Rd. where you can find the parking lot. It's used all year long for hiking and snowshoeing.
