Mount Washington Summit

Because the summit is most easily accessed during the summer you might encounter a crowd of people. More than 250,000 people flock to this gorgeous peak in the hot days of the year. Wintertime is low on crowds, but heavy on snow. Still, experienced mountain climbers love it when the cold season hits. It's also the highest peak in the northeastern U.S. at 6,288 feet. The most popular trail is Crawford Pass which is marked with the statue of an eager hiker.
