Description:

The picturesque lattice covered bridge over Little Squam Lake is not nearly the oldest - it was built in 1988 to replace a condemned one made of concrete and steel. The townspeople voted to build a more rustic span, more fitting in this woodsy area. Funded entirely by community donations, it was built by Milton S. Graton, known for refurbishing covered bridges.
