Description:
Located in Monmouth County, New Jersey, Allaire State Park is known for Allaire Village, its 19th century restored ironworks, which in turn is named for James P. Allaire, the Howell Works founder. The Pine Creek Tourist Railroad is also part of the park which is operated and maintained by the New Jersey Division of Parks and Forestry. You'll find complete picnic facilities with charcoal grills, tables, playgrounds, and restrooms. Seasonal canoe rentals are offered off site by private vendors and, if you have a fishing license, the Manasquan River is classified as a freshwater river within the park. An entrance fee into the park is charged on weekends during the summer.
