Description:

From 1896 to 1919 it was a coastal artillery base which protected the Eastern seaboard. It includes a lot of history, a lighthouse, ruins, and plenty of wildlife. For activities there's hiking, biking, kayaking, and plenty more. Beaches and beautiful sunsets complete this awesome day away from the city. You can walk up the 95 steps in the lighthouse for spectacular photos. The fort is open every day, conveniently for early birds, from 5 AM to 9 PM.
