Description:
This building was originally built in 1792 but what you see today wasn't finished until 1911. Now the capitol is an integral part of the Jersey skyline noticeable by its gleaming gold dome. It has come a long way from the rustic stone structure it was born as in the 18th century. Tours are offered every day except Sundays and holidays and start at the Rotunda. From there visitors will see the Senate and State Assembly chambers, conference rooms, and Governor's reception area.
