Description:

The Ocean City Welcome Center is a prime destination for observing birds. Visitors can join Volunteer Naturalists for excellent views of nesting wading birds, such as Great Blue and Little Blue herons, Yellow-crowned and Black-crowned night-herons, Great and Snowy egrets, and Glossy and White ibis, all tending to their nests. The raised parking lot offers close-up views, making it an ideal spot for photography. You can also spend time observing from the bridge overlook and take a short walk beneath the bridge to see the birds at eye level. Scopes are provided, though participants are encouraged to bring their own. Preregistration is required.
