This restored 19th century canal town in northwestern New Jersey was the hallway point in the 102-mile Morris Canal route which ran from Jersey City to Phillipsburg. Waterloo provided the accommodations necessary to service this operation. The town included an inn, general store, church, blacksmith shop, and watermill. The village is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. (Photo by Tyler Kamphefner)
