Abandoned Wortley Hotel

Located on the Turquoise Trail, this abandoned hotel is a remnant of the earlier days of Los Cerrillos before it became a ghost town. In the late 1800s and early 1900s, Los Cerrillos enjoyed a brief boom from the mineral mining of gold, silver, lead, zinc, and, of course, turquoise. Because it authentically captures those boomtown days, Los Cerrillos was the film location for movies such as "Young Guns" and John Wayne's "The Cowboys."
