Bill and Beverly Niffenegger were looking for a roadside mascot for their emporium and bistro, "Old Apple Barn." Both being artists they built "Apple Man" over a 2-month period. Apple Man evolved into Apple Boy because of his cherubic cheeks and twinkling eyes. Apple Boy was unveiled on Memorial Day weekend, 2010. Apple Boy T-Shirts were even made for the kids but adults bought them all!
