National Museum of Nuclear Science

This Smithsonian-affiliated museum was established in 1969 and is dedicated to the Atomic Age - from early research to modern-day uses of this important technology. The interactive displays are great for children - such as Little Albert's Lab and the 9-acre outdoor Heritage Park. Check the website for current and short-term exhibitions.
