Pecos National Historical Park

The park includes a variety of significant cultural and historical sites, including the ruins of Pecos Pueblo, a Native American settlement that dates back to the 14th century, as well as the remains of Spanish colonial missions and a Civil War battlefield. Visitors to the park can explore the pueblo ruins, hike on scenic trails, and learn about the history of the area through exhibits and interpretive programs. (Submitted by Louise C)

April 14, 2024 The visitor center is behind me. I highly recommend you use the GPS in order to get to this location, don’t use the Fotospot location with Apple Maps unless you’d like a scenic trip. the checkpoint is not at the actual visitor center or site
