Route 66 Remixed in Albuquerque is a vibrant public art installation that celebrates the centennial of the historic Mother Road by transforming Central Avenue into a creative, immersive experience with murals, sculptures, and augmented reality activations. The final sculpture in the series, titled Cruising Cultura, was created by artist Rob Vanderslice and reflects Albuquerque’s lowrider and automotive culture as part of this city-wide art “road trip.” The project invites locals and visitors to explore 18 unique sites that honor the rich history, diversity, and creative spirit along Route 66.
