21,000 different petroglyphs were etched into stone around 1,000 years ago by the Mogollon people. The Mogollon used stone tools to scratch through the oxidized surface of the rocks. The drawings feature animals, symbols, human faces, mystical figures, and geometrical designs and motifs. A full guide of the petroglyphs is available at the site. (Submitted by CJ Boales)
