Tsankawi Prehistoric Sites

The cave dwellings embedded in the cliff were once the home of the Ancestral Pueblo People. Archaeological evidence shows that they were inhabited between the 15th and 16th centuries. You'll probably see petroglyphs and pottery fragments along the trail path. Visit nps.gov website for current operating hours as there is often construction to maintain this landmark.
