Description:

One of the world's best astronomical radio observatories features 27 radio antennas in a Y-formation. Each antenna is an impressive 82 feet in diameter. Formally known as Karl G. Jansky Very Large Array, the observatory was named after the physicist who in 1931 first discovered radio waves emitted by the Milky Way galaxy. Price for entry is around $6 per person.
