Description:

Known as the Grand Canyon of the Adirondacks the Ausable Chasm was established in 1870 and offers an assortment of adventures for all ages. Hike, float, and climb one of the oldest natural attractions in the United States. Other sites in the area include Rainbow Falls, Elephant's Head, Column Rock, Hyde's Cave, and Mystic Gorge. There are many stone walkways or you can take the two-part Classic Tour that includes an upper chasm hike followed by a scenic lower chasm raft float. The Recreation Center at the Ausable Chasm Campground is a biker's dream offering over 15 miles of terrain! Bike rentals are also available at the Recreation Center.
