Description:
Like many of the most popular foods the creation of the Buffalo chicken wing was a serendipitous event. Teressa Bellissimo, owner of The Anchor Bar in Buffalo, NY, whipped up some chicken wings glazed in spicy BBQ sauce for her son and his friends one night in 1964. It was a homecooked success which went on the restaurant menu the next day. Today Buffalo wings served up right next to a cheese and pepperoni pie are a staple of any pizza parlor.
