Description:

Today this ornate fountain is for decoration and aesthetic appeal, but at the time that it was installed in the 1890s it was meant to function as a horse trough. Birds still get plenty of use out of the finial that tops the stone fountain. It was designed by Jacob Wrey Mould whose sense of style was very grandiose. The fountain is especially pretty in the early spring when the cherry trees blossom magnificently.
